Medical scanning company acquires domain for new business.

A health tech company has acquired Scan.com from IdeaLab.
Idealab has sold the domain name scan.com, according to Whois records.
The domain name transferred from Idealab to Escrow.com at the end of last month, suggesting that the buyer is paying for the domain name over time.
The new scan.com is a subsidiary of National MRI Scan Ltd. National MRI Scan connects patients in the UK with MRI scanning centers near them.
A holding page for the domain says it will be a diagnostic imaging platform with a blockchain twist.
Idealab was an active incubator during the dot-com boom two decades ago. It acquired a lot of great domains and has sold some of them over time, sometimes taking cash plus equity. That was the case for Top10.com, which it sold in 2010 for $200,000 plus 7% equity, valuing the domain at $1 million. It also sold Desktop.com to Rolf Larsen on a payment plan. One of its larger sales was Clothes.com, which it sold for $4.9 million cash.
Scan.com was previously used for a scanning app.
