There is a popular thread running over at Namepros named “Parking de-indexed expired domains”
The debate is around the impact of parking expired domain names and how long it will impact potential ranking / recovery.
As like a lot of forum posts it does goes a little off the original topic but some interesting thoughts go into the impact on SEO of these domain names.
Most of the time domain name investors aren’t purchasing a domain due to its previous rankings, I know some might for those parking opportunities for the few dollars it might make but from what I see with domains acquired in the aftermarket typically are bought for the domain names themselves and the potential resale based on the quality of the domain name not is prior rankings.
