  • Telstra and Equinix Collaborate to Provide Secure Multicloud Connectivity in 38 Global Markets:  Telstra is enhancing its integration with Platform Equinix to provide its enterprise customers flexible, secure, on-demand multicloud network connectivity to more than 170 service providers in 38 markets globally. Telstra’s Programmable Network (TPN) is leveraging Equinix Cloud Exchange Fabric to enable customers to create private multicloud network connections to cloud providers in just minutes, instead of weeks or months that more traditional cloud connectivity approaches often require.  By building deeper integration with ECX Fabric, Telstra is also enabling its customers to privately access the full range of cloud service providers available via ECX Fabric including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, UCaaS, DDoS mitigation, data storage as-a-service providers and more. A single integration with ECX Fabric enables Telstra to offer its customers faster connectivity to a broad range of cloud services than integrating directly with individual cloud providers.

  • QTS Further Expands Commitment to Carrier Neutrality With the World’s #1 Ranked Global Internet Backbone: Telia Carrier has deployed a point of presence in QTS’ Chicago and Miami data centers. Today’s announcement follows Telia Carrier’s recent upgrade of its network presence in QTS’ Atlanta Metro mega data center and establishing a presence in the QTS Richmond NAP featuring access to the new high speed, low latency MAREA and BRUSA subsea cables that terminate there. Telia Carrier is the top ranked global IP backbone, with customers in more than 120 countries, operations in 35 of these and network presence in 120 cities worldwide. Telia Carrier offers a broad portfolio of connectivity services, including IP Transit, Cloud Connect, IoT backbone services, Ethernet, and SD-WAN, and recently announced the first real-time transmission of 600G/s wavelengths in a live production network.

  • CoreSite Delivers Ongoing Operational Excellence: CoreSite has announced its 2019 operational results for data center reliability, compliance and power utilization effectiveness. For 2019, CoreSite achieved “Eight 9’s” level of reliance, or 99.999999% uptime, across its portfolio of data centers. CoreSite also successfully completed annual compliance examinations for the colocation services offered across all of the operating multi-tenant data centers in its portfolio. Overall, CoreSite incrementally improved its PUE by approximately 4.8% in 2019 on a same-store basis as compared to 2018 PUE. Finally, CoreSite successfully completed annual compliance examinations for the colocation services offered across all of the operating multi-tenant data centers in its portfolio. As part of its compliance examinations CoreSite completed a new independent third party assessment of controls related to the National Institute of Standards and Technology Publication Series 800-53 (NIST 800-53)
