The Combell Hosting group, a European hosting provider headquartered in Belgium and serving around 800,000 customers in Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland, has made another acquisition. After acquiring Swiss hosting company Switchplus last month and Danish hosting group Zitcom in 2017, Combell has now announced the acquisition of Antwerp-based hosting provider, Nucleus.
Nucleus counts 35 employees and has approximately 1,500 dedicated servers under management. No financial figures are currently available for the acquisition. Nucleus doesn’t have any turnover indicators for 2018. In 2017, the company would have posted a slight gross loss, stated Smartbiz.be.
“Thanks to this acquisition, Combell Group further strengthens its Belgian and European market leadership position in hosting while adding a nice portfolio of customers and hosting expertise,” said Jonas Dhaenens, founder and CEO of Combell Group. “Congratulations to Wouter Sergeyssels and David Geens on what they have achieved with Nucleus in Belgium.”
Combell already has considerable experience with takeovers. In recent years, Mr. Dhaenens’ hosting company with European reach has already acquired seventeen other companies.
