Altitude Tickets Selects ePlexity and Faction’s IaaS Cloud Platform to Fuel Its High-Volume Concert Sales

Altitude Tickets, a high volume U.S. ticket sales website, has selected Managed Services Provider (MSP), ePlexity to oversee the company’s migration to a 100% cloud based solution. ePlexity standardized on Faction Cloud, a private cloud solution it white labels and re-sells as its own.

Altitude Tickets has utilized a traditional colocation environment, purchasing and managing their own equipment in a third party data center. The model required significant CAPEX reserves to address peak usage spikes and hardware refreshes.

Altitude Tickets was searching for an IT partner who could offer personal attention, seeking a boutique, consultative relationship. By selecting ePlexity as its technology partner, and migrating to a private cloud solution, the company could scale up or down as needed across a “state-of-the-art” infrastructure without incurring a CAPEX expense.

Garth Brooks World Tour

Faction’s cloud platform recently contributed to Altitude Tickets‘ extremely high volume of U.S. sales traffic for the Garth Brooks World Tour. The nine show lineup hit record-breaking sales with over 140,000 tickets sold by Altitude online in less than three hours, instantly shattering the previous Denver concert ticket sales record.

“We chose to re-sell Faction Cloud, because it is the only cloud service provider that is 100% channel centric,” said John Clendennen, CEO and Founder of ePlexity. “Their ‘no compete promise’ means I can build a business atop Faction’s cloud infrastructure and be assured I will retain my customer relationships, contracts and branding. It was great working alongside Faction on behalf of Altitude Tickets.”

As a result of ePlexity‘s successful assistance, Altitude Tickets anticipates expanding its use of cloud throughout its parent company, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment.

“Faction and ePlexity have helped us to create a hosting environment which better meets our needs in terms of both performance and cost efficiencies,” said Rick Schoenhals, VP of Information Technology, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. “We’ve also gained the flexibility to respond to business challenges more quickly with effective solutions that can directly target our business needs.”
