Needless to say, all were Dot Com domain names, and currently, unless a sale is confirmed in the next few days Hippo.com will be regarded as the highest sold domain name sale of 2021 publicly recorded.
5 of the 10 domain names that were sold in 2021 have been developed into websites, 2 of the domain names that were sold in 2021 forward to existing URLs, 2 of the domain names sold in 2021 have coming soon pages and the last 1 of the domain names sold in 2021 doesn’t resolve.
It always amazes me to see millions of dollars spent on domain names to use as forwarders / not resolve, I get the domain name forwarders as this is often used to monitor type-in traffic or in a marketing campaign on TV / Radio – These types of domain names can be used as they often pass the radio test being clear and easy to remember dot com domain names.
The last name EE.com doesn’t resolve and is under privacy so I can’t confirm who acquired it, IMO – I just think why not at least have a coming soon holder to monitor the traffic and get sign-ups possibly…
