Theranos was an American health technology corporation, touted as a holder of breakthrough technology with claims of having devised rapid, automated blood tests that required only very small amounts of blood.
Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes will be tried in court at the end of this month, after the company dissolved having burned through up to $600 million dollars of investor money, all while not having delivered an actual product. She faces 20 years in prison.
