Meta hasn’t been a top search at Sedo so far this year.
Sedo released its top search terms report for February 2022, and something is conspicuously absent: meta.
The term jumped onto the list at #2 in October, which was the month Facebook announced its rebranding to Meta Platforms. It remained #2 in November, fell to #9 in December, and hasn’t made the list the first two months of this year.
While many companies are talking about the metaverse, how far off are we? And did people “overbuy” domains as they did during the great 3D rush many years ago? This is something to keep an eye on.
Meanwhile, NFT domains remain hot. Except for a #2 showing in January, it has been the top search term on Sedo since September.
