Company admits it owes the plaintiff money but denies other claims.

Epik has responded to a lawsuit that alleges the company owes a customer $327,000 over a failed domain transaction.

In its response, the company basically agrees (pdf) that it owes Matthew Adkisson $327,000 for the failed transaction for nourish.com. But it also denies that it has committed fraud, violated RICO, and the other allegations Adkisson threw at the defendants.

In a separate filing (pdf), attorneys for current Epik CEO Brian Royce asked the court to dismiss the causes against him because he was not at the company when the transaction occurred.

Epik owes a number of customers and vendors money. Recently, customers have also reported that their domains aren’t being immediately renewed when they pay for renewals.

Through its Twitter account, the company has threatened to sue former CEO Rob Monster and has asked him to resign his board seat.
