Fully managed cloud, colocation and managed solutions provider Webair has announced a new strategic partnership with Long Island’s premier carrier-neutral Meet-Me Room (MMR), 1025Connect. The partnership will establish direct, redundant and low-latency connectivity between Webair’s NY1 data center, located in Garden City, New York, and 1025’s Westbury, New York-based facility. This network is also supported by over a dozen leading carriers.
Webair and 1025Connect’s partnership will cater to Long Island-based content providers seeking critical Manhattan bypass fiber and transatlantic cable access. It’s a Long-Island centric connectivity solution that will offer premium cloud and colocation services in addition to redundant connectivity at the edge for one of the largest tier II markets in the country.
Webair’s NY1 facility is a Tier III, SSAE 16-certified NY1 data center that provides low-latency connectivity to and around the Manhattan area. Customers will also receive access to low-latency transatlantic and Caribbean submarine cable systems as well as the premium interconnection ecosystems, which are located in both facilities’ MMRs. These MMRs can double interconnection capabilities to approximately 15 leading providers.
