G-Core Labs Expands Network in Europe, Adds New PoP in Paris

International cloud and edge solutions provider for content delivery and hosting as well as security, G-Core Labs, is expanding their European network by opening a new Point-of-Presence in Paris, France. The new location provides hosting services on dedicated or virtual servers, while it also complements the company’s global content delivery network (CDN) architecture with claimed fast response times of 34ms on the local market.
“Paris is one of the four main Internet hubs in the world, and many companies view the city as a promising and reliable location when choosing a hosting for their businesses,” said Andre Reitenbach, managing director of G-Core Labs.

Located in a Tier 3 certified data center, the new Point-of-Presence would guarantee access speed to a dedicated server or virtual server of 200 Mbit/s. The new PoP would cater to the needs of companies aiming to work without delay, including suppliers of games and entertainment content, as well as media, online retail and companies within the financial sector.

“Paris is one of the four main Internet hubs in the world, and many companies view the city as a promising and reliable location when choosing a hosting for their businesses,” said Andre Reitenbach, managing director of G-Core Labs. “Therefore, the appearance here of G-Core Labs point of presence is a logical step. Our servers are built on new high-performance and fault-tolerant equipment from leading manufacturers, incl. HP and Dell. However, in case of a need to increase a capacity for any dedicated server, the necessary improvement can be made.”

CDN Architecture

Located on 5 continents, the global architecture of G-Core Labs’ content delivery network was created by experts on high-load systems. Today, it includes more than 50 Points-of-Presence, 4000+ peering partners, 100+ cash servers, while operating daily with a traffic volume of 3,5+ Tbit/s.

G-Core Labs provides a wide range of services for customers of all industries that develop their business online. The company’s services include managed hosting; CDN; an advanced media platform for professional broadcasts and streaming; protection against DDoS attacks; cloud content storage; et cetera. G-Core Labs built its own global infrastructure on all continents, with over 100 nodes in Tier 3 data centers.
