European data centers signing this agreement are obliged to reduce their energy consumption. Datacenter.com is an OCP ready data center provider with its flagship facility AMS1 located in Amsterdam. This data center is run in an energy-efficient way, using 100% green energy for its clients while featuring an ultra energy efficient pPUE of 1.04. It means that very limited power and cooling capacity is required per unit of IT in this AMS1 facility. Datacenter.com has already been awarded ISO 14001:2015 environmental certification for its data center operations.

As Datacenter.com we confirm our support for the Paris climate agreement, which reflects the EU’s stated Code of Conduct for Energy Efficiency in Data Centers.”
The announcement follows the news of Datacenter.com planning to add 50 percent of new data center whitespace in Amsterdam. The expansion project will increase the available whitespace power by an additional 1,5MW. Since its opening in November 2017, the first phase of this Datacenter.com AMS1 facility in Amsterdam would already accommodate a broad group of companies in a wide range of segments, such as digital media, gaming, cloud computing, network solutions, financial institutions and enterprises.
