• Data Foundry to add 27,000 Square Feet of White Floor Space and 4MW to its Houston 2 Data Center Campus: Data Foundry will construct a new 27,000-square-foot data hall with 4 MW of capacity as an addition to the company’s 350,000-square-foot master-planned Houston 2 data center campus in the Greenpoint district. Driven by customer demand for more capacity and Houston business growth, the project is expected to be completed and ready for customer deployments in Q4 2019. Houston 2 provides dedicated office space, lockers, showers, a washer and dryer, a break room and a kitchen, provisioning for tenants and employees who may have to remain at the data center throughout major weather events. • NYI Joins The Independent Data Center Alliance: New York Internet (NYI) has joined the Independent Data Center Alliance (IND-DCA), an industry-led group of single-digit data center operators with a mission of advancing the market presence of independent data center operators. By joining the alliance, NYI will leverage its core competency in delivering a comprehensive set of high-touch hybrid IT and edge solutions across cloud, colocation and bare metal to meet growing global demand for next-generation connectivity. • QTS and Metro Fiber Networks Announce Availability of Strategic Dark Fiber Network at the QTS Richmond NAP: Metro Fiber Networks, owner and operator of 100% underground dark fiber network solutions in Virginia, and QTS Realty Trust, a leading provider of hybrid colocation and mega scale data center solutions, today announced that MFN has completed the build-out of MFN’s all-underground strategic high-count dark fiber network into QTS’ 1.3 million square foot strategic mega data center in Richmond, VA. Metro Fiber Networks is now offering dark fiber solutions providing new opportunities for customers in need of colocation connecting to the world’s lowest latency, highest capacity subsea cables, MAREA and BRUSA, that terminate in the QTS Richmond Network Access Point. • Compass Datacenter Receives Award for Work With Veterans: Compass Datacenters’ CEO Chris Crosby was recently given an award of recognition for Compass’ work with veterans over the years. Salute Mission Critical is an organization that is focused on taking veterans and training them for work in the data center field, and Compass has been using Salute grads for years. Compass Datacenter’s CEO Chris Crosby says the decision to partner with Salute was an easy one for him, not just because of the great cause, but because of the quality of talent they receive.

• TierPoint Announces Hosted Private Cloud Powered by Nutanix AHV: TierPoint, a leading provider of secure, connected data center and cloud solutions at the edge of the internet, today added a Nutanix AHV hypervisor based offering to its earlier announced managed service, Hosted Private Cloud powered by Nutanix Enterprise Cloud software. AHV is Nutanix’s native, enterprise-grade, high-performance virtualization platform that is license free and integrated with the Enterprise Cloud OS. On its near-term product roadmap, TierPoint is also developing a Nutanix-powered Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solution, with native Nutanix replication and DR run book orchestration.

• T5 Data Centers Names Jason Walker as New Senior Vice President of Business Development: T5 Data Centers, the industry leader in building and operating secure, customizable hyperscale computing environments, today announced the appointment of Jason Walker to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Business Development.
