Indeed, the domain OpenSea.com is a traffic magnet, commanding no less than 16,441 uniques at Sedo so far this month. Its seller appears to be in Japan, and the OpenSea.com profile has 98 views of the offer along with 34 bids.
Registered in 2002, OpenSea.com was sold on Afternic in August 2015, as a former asset of Marchex that moved to NameFind/GoDaddy. It might or might have not changed hands and into privacy WHOIS in 2018.
How much would it cost to upgrade OpenSea.io to the matching .com domain name? Quite a bit of Ehereum “fast gas.”
