This Two Letter Dot com – Sold for millions doesn’t resolve

The domain name WE.com was sold on the 19th of June 2015 for a reported whopping $8,000,000 USD, It was believed by many at the time that the buyer of the domain name was Tencent Holdings which owns the popular WhatsApp alternative named WeChat.

However, we are led to believe the buyer was Beijing Weicai Technology Co Ltd operated WE.com as WE Wealth Management, The site was online with an app also until around November 2020 when it appeared to go offline and hasn’t been resolved since then.

Check back some historical whois records it appears WE.com was owned by Alf Temme of RomFab who had a portfolio of over 7,000+ domain names, when checking most of that portfolio they point to a holding page for NamePlus Marketing operated by Alan Hack whom I assumed must be brokering this portfolio exclusively for the owner.

Is We.com one of the most expensive domain names purchased to not resolve, do you know of another?
