Chargebacks. It’s the biggest problem for online vendors. Especially cumbersome for products and services that involve high risk or moral judgement. Pornography and gambling. It’s also the reason why escrow can take a long time. Any time a payment can be yanked back its a huge issue. Obviously cryptocurrency solves all this. I admit I was never a big crypto guy but after using it to buy domains, services, and NFTs its now my preferred method of payment. “Don’t you worry about getting it stolen?”. It’s like everything else in life. You start with smaller amounts and learn how to use it before you go all in. I now feel comfortable sending six figures in crypto. I have a procedure I follow and feel pretty comfortable. If its a huge amount I send a few dollar first to make sure it goes through and then send the balance. In case I mess it up. If both side agree to crypto a domain transaction can happen in minutes. In escrow there is no chance of chargeback or reversal. Again, I realize that those that are new to crypto are very uneasy sending big sums of money with nobody to call if it goes wrong. The self accountability scale is at 100 when it comes to crypto. You better make sure you cross your Ts and dot your I s on a payment. But its not difficult at all.
I wish all sportsbooks took it. I wish I could walk up to a cage in Vegas and covert my crypto into a voucher or cash to play. It would be so much easier. Nobody carries that much cash anymore. I would be much more inclined to make a $20K bet if I could do it from crypto. I guarantee its coming if it hasn’t already. I just haven’t been to Vegas since the conference was there. The only reason its not everywhere is the lack of blockchain engineers. They are so in demand the starting salary is $250K if you are any good. If I were going back to school I 100% would be majoring in this. All of this is the future whether we like it or not.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
