New marketplace launches with an eye on Web3 domains

A new marketplace has launched with a focus on Web3 domain names. Web3Domains.Auction.

Web3 now has it’s own wikipedia page, Web3 is an idea for a new iteration of the World Wide Web based on blockchain technology, which incorporate concepts such as decentralization and token-based economics.

The site issued a press release on their first sale, the sale of a handshake domain name. ICE.C. It was sold to the owners of ICE.com. Intercontinental Exchange own many assets including the New York Stock Exchange. The press release states the domain name sold for $12,500.
