NUVIA Raises $53 Million USD to Reimagine Silicon Design for the Data Center: NUVIA Inc., a leading-edge silicon design company, has announced the close of its Series A funding round raising $53 Million USD. The funding round was co-led by prominent Silicon Valley investors Capricorn Investment Group, Dell Technologies Capital, Mayfield and WRVI Capital, with additional participation from Nepenthe. NUVIA was founded in early 2019 with the goal of reimagining silicon design to deliver industry-leading performance and energy efficiency for the data center. The company was founded by John Bruno, Manu Gulati and Gerard Williams III, who have collectively driven system engineering and silicon design for more than 20 chips, with more than 100 patents granted to date. NUVIA’s founders bring a rich silicon design heritage, having held a diverse array of engineering leadership roles at Google, Apple, ARM, Broadcom and AMD.

Unstoppable Domains Launches $1 Million Grant Program for Wallets, Browsers and Exchanges: Unstoppable Domains, a software company building domains on blockchains, today announced an additional $1,000,000 to help wallets, browsers and decentralized applications integrate blockchain domains. Blockchain domains improve user experiences in wallets by replacing cryptocurrency addresses with a human, readable name. The same domain can be used to simplify cryptocurrency payments and to build an uncensorable website. Users can now use their blockchain domain for payments in wallets such as Coinomi and Trust Wallet. The goal of the $1,000,000 grant program is to accelerate blockchain domain adoption across all types of applications, including browsers and decentralized applications. Unstoppable Domains created both the .zil and .crypto domain registries, and has sold more than 150,000 domains.
