thebigword Launches WordSynk Network Platform for Linguists

WordSynk Network is part of the company’s suite of AI-powered tools that automate and simplify workflows, provides real-time updates in the application, and allows linguists to conduct all interpreting and translation assignments, accept opportunities, and support clients from wherever they are in the world.

The platform allows a growing community of over 15,000 linguists to deliver interpreting and translation services on-the-go. Over 2000 linguists every day receive work from thebigword via WordSynk network translating over 100 million words and partaking in tens of thousands of face-to-face bookings, telephone and video remote interpreting bookings every month.

Joshua Gould, Chief Executive Officer at thebigword Group added: “WordSynk Network is really exciting development for thebigword and our linguist community. thebigword spends a greater percentage of our revenue with our linguists than over 90% of public reporting language companies and in last 12 months thebigword spent over £40million with linguists.

Our linguists are now in full control, they have ability to accept and manage jobs as well as keep their profiles updated so that the artificial intelligence deployed across WordSynk can match them to more work available.”

WordSynk Network was designed with linguists in mind, making technological advances based on feedback of previous systems. The changes to this new platform create an easy and functional application for linguists and removes the need for multiple systems for different language services.

Other features in WordSynk Network, such as profile management, gives linguist more control than ever before. The new technology in the system give linguists the power to update information such as personal details, qualifications and certificates whenever they require – and the system automatically approves the data.

The platform also includes added security features such as Two Factor Authentication when logging in, ensuring that both linguist and client data remains 100% secure.

Leanne Gregg, who heads up Linguist Recruitment at thebigword Group said: “I am delighted we have been able to launch WordSynk Network. We are continuously investing in our technology to create an elite experience for our linguist community. We have been working diligently to create a platform that makes it simple to do business with us, bringing together multiple systems in one place.”

WordSynk Network compliments WordSynk, the market-first technology platform created by thebigword in June. WordSynk provides instant access to translation and interpretation services such as Video Remote Interpreting and Telephone Interpreting.

The introduction of WordSynk and WordSynk Network allow thebigword to expand their vison of giving everyone the power to communicate without language barriers.
