Humanetics Announces the Formation of a New Digital Group

Today we announce the formation of a Digital group within the Humanetics business that combines our digital, CAE, data modelling, and ergonomic software platforms into a combined family of products. This alignment supports our strategic evolution as a digital player and will give us more focus to accelerate the growth of these solutions which are so important for our customers. As part of the new organization, we are establishing a new Software Center of Excellence to guide the development of our software in our Passive and Active safety, as well as software used in our sensor and photonics businesses OpTek, Fibercore and HITEC. Most importantly, as our customers’ businesses becomes more digitally driven, our Digital group will help envision and drive new solutions to support their growth and innovation.

Karsten Newbury joins Humanetics as President of Humanetics Digital, responsible for leading our software and digital solutions portfolio and working across the Humanetics group to innovate with advanced data, software development, and AIOT-based Industry 4.0 systems.

Karsten brings an incredible passion and craft to his work on top of significant experience in industrial B2B technology. He has spent his career at Siemens and Gerber Technology, building and leading software and process automation businesses serving the industrial, automotive and fashion sectors. Karsten will have oversight of our CAE, RAMSIS and Avalution products and he will lead key developments in simulation, and the digitization of our safety and robotics hardware, sensors and photonic solutions.
