EdgeConneX releases Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute

EdgeConneX clients in Arizona can connect to Microsoft cloud services by providing the Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute service in its Phoenix Edge Data Center (EDC). Through Azure ExpressRoute, users are capable to build private connections among their IT deployments and Microsoft’s global data centers.

A Secure Colocation Facility

EdgeConneX serves the Phoenix metropolitan area from the EDC, located near the Arizona State University Campus. The EDC gives a reliable colocation facility for clients wanting to deliver content and applications to end-users of the local market.

Vice President for Interconnection Product Management, EdgeConneX, Aron Smith stated,

The Phoenix urban area has one of the quickest growing populations in the country, which in turn is drawing several new and established enterprise and technology firms to build the call centers, large front, and back-office operations, and distribution hubs in the area. By offering these firms local private access to the Cloud in Phoenix through Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute at EdgeConneX, clients can enjoy all the advantages of the Cloud with a secure, dedicated and local access solution that concurrently enhances performance and minimizes costs

Now as the latest Azure ExpressRoute site is accessible in Phoenix, clients in the local EdgeConneX data center can order an uncomplicated cross-connect to privately access all Microsoft Cloud services accessible through the global Azure platform. In addition to this, several other enterprises situated in the greater Phoenix area will also be able to connect to the local Azure ExpressRoute site by utilizing the several metro ethernet solutions.
